Ensure long lasting car protection with our professional ceramic coating services!

The most powerful mobile paint protection you can put on a car. Ceramic coating doesn't just make your car shiny, it changes how it interacts with the world around it, water, dirt, UV, bird droppings, road grime. All of it becomes dramatically easier to deal with, and dramatically less damaging to your paintwork.

This is the long game. And it's worth playing.

What Is a Ceramic Coating?

A ceramic coating is a liquid polymer that chemically bonds to your car's clear coat at a molecular level. Unlike wax or sealant, which sit on top of the paint and degrade within weeks, a properly applied ceramic coating becomes part of the surface. It doesn't wash off. It doesn't wipe off. It cures, hardens, and protects.

The result is a semi-permanent layer of protection that repels water, resists contamination, blocks UV damage and gives your paint a depth of gloss that other options simply can't match. Your car stays cleaner for longer, is far easier to wash when you do, and is protected against the kind of everyday environmental damage that quietly destroys paintwork over months and years.

In South Wales, where you're dealing with near-constant rain, road salt, coastal air and the kind of weather that changes three times before lunch, ceramic coating isn't just a luxury, for anyone who cares about their car's condition and value, it's the smartest investment you can make.

What You Get With a GlossLabs Ceramic Coating

Every ceramic coating application includes a full decontamination wash to strip the paintwork of any bonded contamination before the coating is applied. We use professional-grade ceramic products selected by our detailers for their quality, durability and finish, not the cheapest option on the shelf, and never a dealer-grade substitute.

Hydrophobic protection — water beads and rolls off the surface, taking dirt with it. Your car repels the rain rather than soaking it up.

UV resistance — the Welsh sun might not be relentless, but UV damage is cumulative. Ceramic coating significantly slows paint fade and oxidation.

Chemical resistance — bird droppings, tree sap and road salt are all far less likely to etch into protected paint.

Enhanced gloss — a properly applied ceramic coating deepens the reflectivity of your paint in a way that's immediately visible and long-lasting.

Easier maintenance — dirt doesn't bond to coated surfaces the way it does to bare paint. Every wash takes less effort and does less damage.

A Note on Mobile Application

We'll always be straight with you — and this is one of those moments.

Ceramic coating application requires controlled conditions. The paint needs to be completely dry, clean and at the right temperature for the coating to bond and cure correctly. As a fully mobile service working across South Wales, this means ceramic coating isn't something we can guarantee on every visit or in every weather window.

When you book a ceramic coating with GlossLabs, we'll do our best to schedule it around suitable conditions and we'll always communicate clearly if the weather isn't going to play ball on the day. We'd rather rearrange than rush an application that won't perform the way it should.

This isn't a limitation we apologise for, it's the honest standard we hold ourselves to. A ceramic coating done properly lasts years. One rushed in the wrong conditions won't.

Do You Need Paint Correction First?

In almost every case, yes, and we'll always tell you this upfront.

A ceramic coating seals your paintwork in whatever condition it's in. If there are swirl marks, fine scratches or haze present when the coating goes on, those defects are locked in permanently beneath the protective layer. The coating doesn't hide them — it preserves them.

Getting a Stage 1 or Stage 2 paint correction before your ceramic coating means the product is protecting a clean and corrected surface. That's how you get the full benefit, a finish that looks exceptional and stays that way.

If your car needs correction first, we'll tell you honestly. If it doesn't, we'll tell you that too.

1-Year vs 3-Year Ceramic Coating

1-Year Ceramic Coating A professional-grade single-layer coating offering outstanding hydrophobic properties, UV protection and enhanced gloss for up to 12 months with the right maintenance. An excellent starting point for customers new to ceramic protection, or for cars that are detailed regularly and well maintained.

3-Year Ceramic Coating A more durable formulation that bonds deeper and lasts longer, the better value choice for anyone serious about long-term paint protection. With correct maintenance, a 3-year coating keeps your paint protected, glossy and easy to clean for years after application.

Ceramic Coating Aftercare

A ceramic coating is low maintenance, but it's not no maintenance. After application, the coating needs time to fully cure before being exposed to water, typically around 24 hours, and at minimum 7 days before being washed. After that, you simply maintain it with regular pH-neutral washes and avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaning methods.

Just ask our team for aftercare instructions and support, we're always happy to recommend the right maintenance products to keep your coating performing at its best.
